Where the Micron perp trades right now
The easiest route is the Perpetuals tab inside Binance Wallet, because it sits in the Binance app you may already have. In the wallet's Perps list, search for MU or use the Stock group tab. Some companies there have both a USDT pair and a USD1 pair, with different amounts of trading behind them, so check in the app which Micron pairs are listed today. Execution and the order book in that tab come from Binance's partner, the Aster protocol.
If you see two Micron pairs, one will settle in USDT and the other in USD1. Your profit, loss and the margin you set aside are counted in whichever token that pair uses — so pick the one you actually hold in the wallet. Each pair also carries its own maximum leverage badge; many USDT stock pairs in that tab go up to 50x, and the number that applies to you is the one printed on the badge of the pair you open.
There is a second route on-chain. trade.xyz deploys dozens of US stock markets on Hyperliquid — check the live table to see whether Micron is among them today and what leverage it allows. Binance Futures lists US stock perpetuals too, and the same names usually trade much more there — handy as a reference when you compare volume numbers.
| Where | Contract | Price | Leverage up to | 24h volume | Open interest |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Binance Wallet Perpetuals tab, Aster order book | MUUSD1 | $882.11 | 20x | $14.9M | $42.7M |
| Binance Wallet Perpetuals tab, Aster order book | MUUSDT | $882.27 | 50x | $459K | $1.3M |
| Hyperliquid (trade.xyz) HIP-3 market by trade.xyz | xyz:MU | $880.54 | 10x | $73.9M | $154.1M |
| Binance Futures for comparison | MUUSDT | $882.37 | — | $387.3M | — |
Prices differ a little between venues: each has its own order book and price source. Liquidation and profit are counted on each venue’s mark price.

Read the table by the 24-hour volume column and take the market with the bigger number: your order fills closer to the price you see when there is more trading behind the pair. For scale, the Micron market in the wallet turned over roughly 44 million dollars in a day when we last checked the wallet data on 21 October 2026, so a 500 USDT order is a drop in that flow. Volumes shift, so do the same check the next time you trade rather than assuming last week's winner.
Whichever you choose, the number on the screen is the contract's own price, set by the buyers and sellers of that contract. You are not a shareholder, you get no voting rights, and nobody will deliver stock to you. If owning the actual stock in token form is what you had in mind, that is a different product — see tokenized stock vs futures.
What it costs to hold a Micron position, in money
Two costs, and both are small on a small position. The first is the trading fee, charged on the size of the trade each time you open and each time you close. Stock and commodity contracts in that tab are charged 0.0125% when your order fills straight away — about 6 cents on a 500 USDT position each way, so roughly 13 cents for the round trip. Check the maker side in the fee screen before you start using limit orders.
The second cost is funding: a payment between the people who are long and the people who are short, which the venue does not keep. If the rate is positive, longs pay shorts; if it is negative, shorts pay longs. Funding is settled on a fixed schedule — the countdown next to the rate in the order window tells you when the next payment lands. Hyperliquid settles every hour; the interval in the wallet tab depends on the contract. The mechanics are explained in what funding is and who pays it.
| Where | Contract | Paid | Rate now | A long over 30 days, per 1,000 USDT | Over 90 days |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Binance Wallet | MUUSD1 | every 8 h | -0.0008% | pays 2.72 USDT | pays 3.77 USDT |
| Binance Wallet | MUUSDT | every 8 h | 0.0000% | pays 5.67 USDT | pays 11.08 USDT |
| Hyperliquid (trade.xyz) | xyz:MU | every hour | -0.0002% | pays 6.88 USDT | pays 18.56 USDT |
| Binance Futures | MUUSDT | every 8 h | 0.0000% | pays 5.04 USDT | pays 11.94 USDT |
Plus means longs pay shorts, minus means longs receive. The period total is what a 1,000 USDT long would have paid holding the whole time (price changes aside); a short receives the same amount with the opposite sign.

To turn a rate into money, multiply it by your position size, not by your margin. Take the running example on this site: a 500 USDT position, which at 5x leverage needs 100 USDT of margin. If the rate shown were 0.01% (an illustrative number), one payment would cost you 5 cents; if it were 0.03%, 15 cents. Look at the table above for the current rate on each venue and do that one multiplication before you plan to hold overnight.
A funding rate is today's number, not a price list. It changes from one settlement to the next and it can flip sign. When sentiment turns and the rate goes negative, a long receives funding instead of paying it. Check the live rate and the countdown to the next payment each time you open a position, and remember that an hourly schedule simply splits the same cost into smaller, more frequent pieces.
Add it up for a realistic week: 500 USDT of position at 5x in the wallet tab, opened and closed straight away at the market, costs about 0.13 USDT in fees plus whatever funding works out to over the days you hold. On that size it is usually small change. What really decides your result is how far the price moves against you. Leverage doesn't change that move — it only decides how little of your own money is standing behind the position, and therefore how soon the venue closes it.
Leverage, weekends and earnings days: how big is safe
The badge on the pair shows what the venue allows, not what it suggests. With 500 USDT of position at 5x you have 100 USDT of margin behind it, so a move of roughly 20% against you would eat about the whole margin before fees. In practice it happens a little earlier than 20%: the venue keeps a small part of your margin as a safety cushion and also counts the fees. It also reads a fair reference price, not the last trade, so a single odd tick won't close you. That closing is called liquidation, and our page on picking leverage for a first trade walks through choosing a number you can sleep with.
Memory chip stocks move more than most. Micron reports results several times a year, and the perpetual keeps trading right through the announcement, at night and at weekends, while the underlying stock market is closed — that is the point of a perpetual, and why stock perps trade at night and on weekends covers how it works. A price gap can appear while you are asleep, and a stop-loss can then fill worse than the price you set. Size the position so the worst case is an amount you were willing to lose, and check the company's reporting date before you plan to hold for a week.
If you want to spread the idea across the memory sector rather than one name, the same venues list neighbours like SK Hynix and SanDisk — but two chip stocks usually move together, so treat them as one idea, not two. For the wider picture of why stocks are on crypto venues at all, there is stocks on a crypto exchange.
Opening a first small Micron position, step by step
Open the Perpetuals tab
In the Binance app, switch to Wallet and open the Perps list, or go to web3.binance.com on a computer. You need a Binance Wallet that has been backed up — perpetuals stay locked until the backup is done. The full walkthrough is in how to open a trade in Binance Wallet.
Pick the pair you compared earlier
Search for MU, or use the Stock group tab, and open the Micron market you chose from the volume table. Make sure you hold the dollar token that pair uses, and read the maximum leverage printed on its badge.
Set leverage before the size
Pick the leverage first, because it decides how much margin a given position needs. At 5x, a 500 USDT position asks for about 100 USDT of margin plus a little for fees.
Enter the amount and check the funding countdown
The minimum order size is shown in the order window — it is a size of position, not an amount of your own money, so you can start very small while you learn the screen. Check the exact minimum in the app. Before you confirm, look at the current funding rate and the time to the next payment: if it is positive and you are going long, that amount leaves your balance at the next settlement.
Set your stop-loss and take-profit while you open the trade
Add both as you open the position, not later, so the exit is in place even if you walk away. Then close the app. If you can't stop checking the position, it's too big.
When you are ready to look at the real screen, open Binance Wallet and read the Micron pairs with your own eyes. If you would rather hold a stock market on-chain with a wallet instead of an app account, look at the markets deployed by trade.xyz: you can see every one of them with its current leverage and volume in our live Hyperliquid table, and then go to Hyperliquid to connect a wallet. Access is not open everywhere: the Aster terms behind the wallet tab exclude residents of Russia, Ukraine, the USA, Canada, the United Kingdom, China, North Korea, Cuba, Iran, Venezuela and Syria, and other venues keep their own lists, so check availability in the app while you set things up.
What is the Micron perp price, and is it the same as the MU share price?
The contract price follows the stock closely, but it is the market's own number, set by the traders of that contract rather than quoted from a stock exchange. At night and at weekends, when the stock market is shut, the perpetual keeps moving on its own. Check the live price in the venue's app or in the tables above.
Can I trade a Micron perp on a Saturday?
Yes, the contract runs 24/7, weekends included. Volume is lower at weekends, so the price can travel further on fewer trades — keep the size small if you plan to hold through Sunday.
Do I need a Binance account to trade Micron in Binance Wallet?
Yes. Binance Wallet lives inside the Binance app and only a verified Binance user can create one, and the Perpetuals tab stays locked until you have completed the wallet backup. The wallet itself is self-custodial, so the keys are yours, not Binance's. How to create and back up the wallet goes through it screen by screen.
What is the smallest Micron position I can open?
The order window shows the minimum, and it is a position size, not an amount of your own money, so with leverage the margin behind it is smaller still. That means you can practise the whole sequence — open, set a stop, close — for pocket money. Check the exact number in the app, since it can differ between pairs.
Do I receive dividends if I hold a Micron perpetual?
You are not a shareholder, so no dividend lands in your account the way it would at a broker. Venues handle company events in different ways, so if a payout date matters to your trade, read the contract specification of the exact contract you are holding.
How much does it cost to hold a Micron long for a month?
Work it out from today's numbers rather than a fixed figure: the fee each way on your position size, plus the funding rate multiplied by that same position size at every settlement. On a 500 USDT position the fees come to about 13 cents for the round trip, and funding depends entirely on the current rate, which can also turn negative and pay you instead.
